Haiti Spring Break trip (2008)
About Me: My name is Mike Filicicchia and I am a Gospel storyteller / campus missionary / hopeful future pastor and church-planter at New Life Church on campus at the University of Michigan. My mission is to catalyze and participate in an unprecedented movement of God among the college students of America. I have devoted my life to knowing Jesus more deeply and sharing him with the next generation of world leaders through lifestyle and story.
About the Blog: The phrase “This is Church” became the catchphrase for poignant Gospel moments among my friends some time ago. My desire is that this blog would bring you into those sorts of moments as I share stories and insights, and that you might leave saying to yourself, “Now this is Church”. This blog is for my friends, family, co-workers, financial supporters, and complete strangers who happen upon it. I hope that all of you will benefit in a unique way from what you find here.
Disclaimers:
- 1) I do not write on behalf of New Life Church, nor does everything I post represent the collective views of the pastoral leadership at New Life. These are all my own thoughts and opinions.
- 2) The name “This is Church” is not meant to imply in any way that my ministry is any more true to the Church as Jesus intends it as anyone else’s. There are people doing ministry far more effectively than I currently know how, and I can’t wait for ”This is Church” moments to arise ever more frequently as God refines and develops me into a mature minister of his Gospel.
