My StrengthsFinder 2.0

In my last post, I mentioned that my StrengthsFinder evaluation was scary accurate. And since some of you seem to enjoy knowing me, I thought I’d give you their evaluation. Let me know if you agree.

My top 5: Strategic, Activator, Futuristic, Analytical, Maximizer

In every area, the StrengthsFinder evaluation tells you a sort of general overview of what the strength means, then the way in which you uniquely embody that strength; the flavor of that strength that you bring. So each of my evaluations have a general tag (or ”Shared Theme Description”), and then my “Personalized Strength Insights”. Enjoy getting to know my quirks and intricacies.

Strategic
Shared Theme Description: People who are especially talented in the Strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues.

Your Personalized Strengths Insights: By nature, you invent original ideas of your own. Your imagination is typically stimulated when you collaborate — that is, team up — with future-oriented thinkers. Chances are good that you are a self-reliant person who needs time alone to think and work. You generate innovative ideas and propose systematic programs of action. You likely identify recurring configurations in the behavior of people, the functioning of processes, or the emergence of potential problems. Driven by your talents, you comprehend what has gone wrong. Eagerly, you uncover facts. Sorting through lots of information rarely intimidates you. You welcome the abundance of information. Like a detective, you sort through it and identify key pieces of evidence. Following these leads, you bring the big picture into view. Next, you generate schemes for solving the problem. Finally, you choose the best option after considering prevailing circumstances, available resources, and desired outcomes. Because of your strengths, you long to know more so you remain on the cutting edge of your field or areas of interest. Your inventive mind usually generates more possibilities than you can handle or fund. Nonetheless, you are committed to acquiring knowledge and/or skills. You study everything involved in a situation and conceive entirely new ways of seeing or doing things. What you already know prompts you to ask questions and delve even deeper into a subject or problem. Instinctively, you frequently find the precise words to express your thoughts and feelings. You spontaneously start conversations with total strangers. You quickly discover what interests them. You probably enliven discussions by telling stories to illustrate things that capture your attention.

Activator
Shared Theme Description: People who are especially talented in the Activator theme can make things happen by turning thoughts into action. They are often impatient.

Your Personalized Strengths Insights: Chances are good that you rely on your upbeat attitude to help people feel enthusiastic about life. You regularly direct their attention to what is good, beautiful, delightful, right, or possible. Others usually notice it is difficult to feel downcast — that is, in low spirits or dejected — when in your presence. It’s very likely that you may influence some of your friends to make things happen quickly. Sometimes you create enthusiasm in others by championing a particular project, rule, process, activity, or idea. Because of your strengths, you energize others so they feel enthusiastic about a position you have taken, a conclusion you have reached, or an innovative idea you have proposed. As soon as you resolve to do something, you typically announce, “Let’s get started right away. We can do this!” Driven by your talents, you frequently throw newcomers or outsiders off balance by pressing them to talk with you. With some individuals, you intentionally do this. With others, you are unaware of how forceful you are. You are eager to get things moving and completed. Even so, you strive to temper your demanding style. You probably want people to like you as well as do what you tell them to do. By nature, you want to be in charge. As soon as you have made up your mind, you are eager to get started. People who interfere with your progress probably irritate you.

Your Personalized Strengths Insights: By nature, you are energized by your plans for the coming months, years, or decades. Bringing your ideas to life is an exciting proposition for you. You sense you have the power to transform whatever you think is possible into tangible outcomes. It’s very likely that you intentionally take steps to be the mastermind of your own future. You refuse to leave your destiny to chance. You probably resist placing it in someone else’s hands. You trust your own intelligence and imagination when setting a direction for your life. Driven by your talents, you have a capacity for envisioning what the coming months, years, or decades could, should, or will be like. Frequently you are prompted to transform your ideas into things you can touch, taste, see, smell, or hear. Instinctively, you often direct your attention toward what you want to accomplish in the coming months, years, or decades. Your enthusiasm naturally increases when you spend time in the company of possibility thinkers. Chances are good that you feel an irresistible urge to introduce yourself to outsiders and start talking with them. Why? Analytical
Shared Theme Description: People who are especially talented in the Analytical theme search for reasons and causes. They have the ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation.

By nature, you are sometimes adept — that is, masterful — at identifying your tasks, putting them in order of importance, then executing them one by one. Driven by your talents, you may break down certain types of problems, uncertainties, or difficulties to their basic parts. Identifying various elements might be yourspecialty. Perhaps you design appropriate solutions when you use logic or reason rather than instincts or emotions. Instinctively, you think systematically to identify patterns in processes, data, facts, relationships, agendas, timelines, or contracts. You see distinct linkages between this factor and that consequence, this decision and that result, or this action and that reaction. People trust you to make informed and reasonable choices. They are likely to ask what you think before they finalize a plan or state their position. It’s very likely that you may offer assistance to people who are struggling to assign a level of importance or urgency to various jobs. Sometimes you help them break a big project into separate manageable tasks . Perhaps you outline the order in which they need to complete these smaller chores.

Maximizer
Shared Theme Description: People who are especially talented in the Maximizer theme focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. They seek to transform something strong into something superb.

Your Personalized Strengths Insights: By nature, you may accept that no two people are exactly the same. This partially explains why you ask so many questions. Sometimes you are trying to figure out what makes an individual different from everyone else. Perhaps this knowledge allows you to inspire, coax, demand, challenge, or pressure various people to do their finest work. Chances are good that you exhibit an awareness about what you do and do not do well. You trust your instincts in this regard. Over time, you have progressed faster and moved further by relying on your talents. You simply refuse to risk losing confidence in yourself by tackling assignments for which you lack the talent, even when you may possess some relevant knowledge, skills, or experience. Instinctively, you occasionally reflect on your gift for welcoming and involving certain types of people in your conversations or activities. You might approve of their ideas, honor their feelings, recognize their talents, value their expertise, applaud their successes, or acknowledge their choices. Driven by your talents, you regularly initiate serious discussions or casual chitchat with people you have just met. You feel quite confident about your ability to talk with newcomers, outsiders, or strangers. You probably recall times when this gift contributed to your accomplishments or gave you access to influential people. It’s very likely that you might enjoy helping others savor their successes. Perhaps you prevent some people from discounting or ignoring their accomplishments.

There you have it…my talents. If you want, you can leave comment love on what you agree with, disagree with, something to add, or what you feel like you learned about me. (Man, that sounded so narcissistic…don’t judge me).
