Upcoming Hillsong Projects

The newest Hillsong album, Faith+Hope+Love will be released in the U.S. this coming Tuesday. I’ve had the privilege of listening to the album, and I’m amazed year after year at how this one church consistently writes and produces such amazing worship music. Congrats to the Hillsong music crew on another amazing album, you guys truly write music that inspires this whole world. Although my song tastes tend to evolve as I listen through an album multiple times, I’m especially loving “Yahweh” right now. The end of the song just stirs up great joy and delight in my soul in a way that few songs do. Here’s the song (introduced via some enjoyable Aussie preaching) for those of you who want to share in my joy:

The second upcoming project from my favorite Aussies includes the second installment of the I-Heart Revolution trilogy: The “We’re All in This Together” DVD, slated for release this November. I’m hoping the whole I-Heart movement really causes waves in my generation in the Church. In many ways, Hillsong United is the global worship voice of my generation, which uniquely poises them to be the forerunners of a truly international Church effort to bring peace and restoration to this world’s most broken places. I wish them the best and pray for the DVD to have global impact. I think it has the same revolutionary potential worldwide for the Church as the upcoming release of Blue Like Jazz the movie does in the US. Here are a few teasers:

    Mike,

I saw that United video a few weeks ago. It’s awesome. I’m glad to see you’re disseminating it. I love all the Hillsong albums too, especially United stuff. Joel Houston is really bringing the excellence of their arts together with a vision of the resource imbalance that, unfortunately, enables it to some extent. It’s a difficult tension, but a brave one for him to explore.

    Best of luck,
