We’re All in This Together

To all my other revolution-minded brothers and sisters (especially the saints at New Life Church), mark your calendards. Next Wendesday, November 4th at 7:30 PM ET, for one night only, Hillsong United is showing their new revolution documentary, We’re All in This Together.

This is United’s own description of the event:

On Wednesday, November 4th, popular Australian musical sensation Hillsong United will appear LIVE on movie screens across the US for an exclusive One Night Event featuring a performance by the internationally recognized worship band and their much-anticipated documentary I HEART REVOLUTION: WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, hosted from Australia.

This one-night event will begin with a LIVE intro by Hillsong United’s lead singer Joel Houston, followed by the band performing from their church in Sydney and conclude with the worldwide debut of their cause-based documentary telling the stories of justice, compassion, and mercy around the globe.

For 3 Years, Hillsong United traveled with a documentary and production team to record the worship experiences, culture, and history of young people around six major regions of the world. WITH HEARTS AS ONE was released in 2008. WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER the eagerly awaited documentary is about the movement, a call-to-action. It’s about you, and how you can get involved.

You can buy tickets here by entering in your zip code. For my brothers and sisters in Ann Arbor, the film is showing both at Showcase Cinemas and the Quality 16. I don’t think this film should be watched alone. It’s about world change, and that’s a task for the Church, not an individual. So think of this as an opportunity to gather others, carpool, and dream together in community.

I’m pretty psyched about this (and just blogged it today too, weird). I was totally skeptical at first, but after looking into it, I’m really impressed with these guys … but I won’t regurgitate my blog in your comments.
