Growing Up in a Gay Home

If you didn’t already know, I was raised in a gay household. The uniqueness of my childhood and adolescence has done much to shape me in ways positive and negative, realized and soon-to-be-realized. God has undeniably done remarkable and supernatural things in my life and story, and now I hope that he will work evermore through my story. I tell it in the hope that some might be ushered in to greater freedom in Christ.

A like-minded brother of mine, Andrew Marin, became excited at the prospect of sharing my story with an audience that’s significantly larger than I am currently able to reach. He asked me to write some of it down for him so he could post it on his blog, Love is an Orientation. I agreed, and as a result, I’m now sharing core elements of my life story with more people than ever before. Andrew will be posting it in two parts over the weekend. So check out Part 1 and Part 2 and please spread the the story if you also believe that God might use it to bring greater freedom to broken people like you and me. To Him be all the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Part 1 is one of your better pieces of writing, in my limited experience.
